Infertility Journey, IUI Experience

Trying to Conceive: Cycle 7

Posted on

We have reached the holiday season and I was so hoping we would be pregnant by now, but alas it is still not our time. Since my birthday and Christmas are this month, we have decided not to do our second IUI this cycle and wait until after the holidays- the way my cycle runs, that would put our next IUI around the first of the year.

This month is not going to waste though, oh no- I scheduled a HSG procedure to check and make sure both of my fallopian tubes are good and clear of any sort of blockage that could be preventing us from getting pregnant.

This procedure takes place in a hospital and it’s when they shoot dye up through the cervix and through the fallopian tubes, while watching it on an x-ray machine. It was pretty neat to watch the dye move up and out of my tubes, which indicated that all is clear and good to go.

Not going to lie, I am happy there is nothing wrong, but I was hoping this would show something that could explain why nothing is working… hopefully our next IUI will do the trick, Michael has started taking 25mg of clomid every other night to try and help improve his count.
